lyrics

she woke up late in life
to the sound of the world creeping in
she thinks it's probably nothing, rolls over
I guess it sometimes always seems that way

meet the new victims, hands in pockets
they face tomorrow with strict ambivalence
meet the new victims, shun tomorrow
a blank life with no regrets

there's nothing left
for us in this place
we've nothing to do

there's nothing left
for us in this place
we've nothing to do
but wait

some would say,
"everything we do makes up everything we are."
some would say, "life happens to us"
I guess it sometimes always seems that way
there's nothing left to say

meet the new victims, hands in pockets
they face tomorrow with strict ambivalence
meet the new victims, shun tomorrow
a blank life with no regrets

there's nothing left
for us in this place
we've nothing to do
